The delegation of HMCC leaded by Director Phung Phu had paid a visit to Korea from October 22-27, 2009 for the annual International Conference of the Korean Association for Public Administration (KAPA). The forum on the public administration of Asian countries was held in Incheon from 22-24/10/2009. Among representatives of 19 Asian countries, Vietnam delegation consists of members from HMCC, the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Information and Communications, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Representatives of HMCC participated in the session titled “Research on the policy of cultural management”, presented two speeches on the management and conservation of Hue World Heritage and contributed opinions to the Asian-Pacific countries forum for the implementation of developing and key-policy making strategy in the region.
After the conference, HMCC delegation also visited and worked with the National Palace Museum of Korea in Seoul from October 25-27, 2009 in their invitation. Mr. Chang Jongsoo, Director of the National Palace Museum of Korea and Mr. Phung Phu, Director of HMCC had a discussion on the cooperation and exchange between the two sides on the field of antique exhibition, museum research and training. These contents were also a part of the Cooperative Agreement signed between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea since 2006, in which HMCC was assigned to conduct in cooperation with the National Palace Museum of Korea.

The two sides also signed an MOU for the cooperative and exchange activities. It is expected that an exhibition on “Hue royal life” will be organized at the National Palace Museum of Korea at the end of 2010 in order to disseminate the Vietnamese culture internationally and celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Ha Noi capital. In the coming time, the procedures of this exhibition will be prepared.
