SERIES OF EVENTS IN MEMORAZATION OF EMPEROR HAM NGHI’S DEATH ANNIVERSARY AT HUE MONUMENTS CONSEVATION CENTRE
Towards the 80th death anniversary of Emperor Ham Nghi (1944 - 2023), Hue Monuments Conservation Centre (Centre) collaborating with Dr. Amandine Dabat (French historian, 5th generation decendant of Emperor Ham Nghi, who did a doctoral thesis on the art life of Emperor Ham Nghi) organized "Introduction to the life and art of King Ham Nghi".

At the event, Dr. Amandine Dabat introduced lots of valuable information, images, and remainings about the life and art works of Emperor Ham Nghi, with which the participants particularly and Hue people generally may understand more about the 8th emperor of Nguyen Dynasty.
Also in this series of events, in the afternoon of the same day, Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities (belonging to Hue Monuments Conservation Centre carried out the exhibition about Emperor Ham Nghi with the theme "Emperor Ham Nghi (1871-1944) Life and Art” at Te Tuu House. Besides leaders of cultural departments in the province, the activity attracted many famous intellectuals of Hue, Hue Royal Family and Francophone students.
This series of events is of special significance, opening up many opportunities for cultural exchange and promoting cooperation between Thua Thien Hue Province and France; in the context that 2023 is the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic-cooperation relationship between Vietnam and France, and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a strategic partnership between Vietnam and France.
