Opening the exhibition "Vietnam's Ancient Jewelry" at Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities
On the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the South Vietnam and the country’s unification (April 30th, 1975 – April 30th, 2015) and in respond to Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2015 - "The Quintessence of Vietnamese crafts”, the exhibition on "Antique Jewelry of Vietnam" is organized by the Vietnam National Museum of History and the Hue Monuments Conservation Center from April 28th to June 27th, 2015 at Hue Royal Antiquities Museum. A catalogue of this exhibition is also compiled and introduced to the readers.

More than 100 objects dated back from the prehistory to the Nguyen dynasty are on display, rich in type, unique in design and diversified in material. The most highlighted attraction is the Nguyen antiquities that present the skill, creativity and excellent taste of Vietnamese artisans. This collection of rare, exquisite and flawless jewelry made of gold, silver, jade, ivory, tortoiseshell, etc reaches a high level of technique and art of manufacturing.

It is hoped that the exhibits can bring to visitors more interesting information on the history of development, technique of manufacturing and meaning of Vietnamese jewelry as well as values of history, culture and art contained in the collection.
