THE TOURIST PROMOTION PROGRAM AT HUE HERITAGE SITE 2014
1. Purpose - The schedule on the tourist promotion of 2014 of Hue Monuments Conservation Centre is in the main tourist promotion of Thua Thien Hue Province of the year 2014, which is to welcome Hue Festival 2014 as well as other highlighted days of the country. The main purpose of the program is to popularize and introduce the values of Hue heritage (both tangible and intangible), the cultural and tourist activities via the discount and awards for tourists and travels agencies with most tourists to the relic zone. - To set up the cooperation and support in the tourist development and popularization among Hue Monuments Conservation Centre, the Tourism Association and Hotel Association of Thua Thien Hue Province in the time to come; and to enhance the cooperation with the domestic and international travel agencies.
 

2. Schedule

 

- The Golden Week of Tourism at Hue Relic Zone to welcome Hue Festival 2014: from March 26/2014 to April 01/2014

 

- The Golden Month of Tourism at Hue Relic Zone for the National Day: from September 2nd to September 30th /2014

- The Golden Week of Tourism at Hue Relic Zone for the New Year: from December 24th to 30th/2014 

 

 

3. The content promotion programs in 2014

 
 

* The first week: from March 26/2014 to April 1st/2014: Tourists coming to hue relic zone during the Golden Week of Tourism will get the following priorities:

 

- In buying ticket for the three sites such as the Imperial City, Khải Dinh Tomb and Minh Mạng Tomb will be free of charge the rest sites including Thieu Tri Tomb, Tu Duc Tomb and Hon Chen Temple

 

- 20% discount for group from 10 tourists or more visiting the relics (buy 10 tickets get 2 free)

 

- 50% discount for the service of  Nhã Nhạc – Vietnamese Court Music at Duyet Thi Duong Theatre (daytime and the evening performances)

 

- Free tour guide for group of 20 tourists or more at the Imperial City

 

- Free of charge for domestic students visiting Hue relics with official letter of recommendation from their schools/universities and approval of HMCC leaders; 

 

- 20% discount for the electric bus  around the Imperial City

 

- Discount with such services as the souvernir and the refreshers, etc. within the relic zone

 

- To enjoy some extra services (free of charge) such as:

 

+ The royal games at Thọ ninh Hall (Diên Thọ Residence – Imperial City) during the Golden Week;

 

+ To rehabilitate the Return of Grand Empress at the Long-Covered Corridor of the Forbidden Purple City

 

+ The Change of Guard in front of Ngo Mon Gate from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM everyday

 

+ Hue Chamber Music performance at The Mieu – the Imperial City – Imperial City (everyday)

 

+ Small Music performance at Thái Hoà Palace – Imperial City (everyday)

 

 

 

* The second week: from September 2nd to 30th/2014: Tourists coming to hue relic zone during the Golden Week of Tourism will get the following priorities:

+ The exhibition on heritage topic at the Museum of Royal Antiquities or at some places in the Imperial City

 

To rehabilitate the Return of Grand Empress at the Long-Covered Corridor of the Forbidden Purple City

 

+ The Change of Guard in front of Ngọ Môn Gate from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM everyday

 

+ Hue Chamber Music performance at Thế Miếu – the Imperial City – Imperial City (everyday)

 

+ Small Music performance at Thai Hoa Palace – Imperial City (everyday)

 

 

 

* The third week: from December 24th to 30th/2014

 

This “Golden Week of Tourism” includes the discounts like that of the first and second week. Hue Monuments Conservation Centre and the Association and Hotel Association of Thua Thien Hue Province and other travel agencies will award the following:

 

- Special gift for the 2,000,000th visitor to Hue relic zone, the encouragement for the 1,900,000th and the 2,000,100th visitors; and the gift for the tourist group that has the 2,000,000th visitor

 

- The gift for the three travel agencies with the greatest number of tourists to Hue relics in 2013

 

- The meeting among travel agencies and the night party

 

 

 

4. Some policies and priorities for the travel agencies in joining the Tourist Promotion Program 2014

 

- Hue Monuments conservation Centre has built some cooperative programs nationwide with the priorities at the relic zone (the discount on the electric bus service around the Imperial City and the royal boat service, the donate of ticket to enter relics, so on)

 

- Above all are the schedules of the tourist promotion program in 2014. Hue Monuments Conservation Centre hope the travel agencies as well as other concerning offices will be with us in popularizing this program to domestic and international tourists. Additionally, to better the tourist services, Hue Monuments Conservation Centre wishes to get the feedback from you in terms of our shortcomings or limitations in the services concerning this program.
