Within the constraint of co-research program between Hue Monuments Conservation Centre (HMCC) and the framework of the program, Hue Conservation of Cultural Heritage Preservation co-ordinated between the Hue Capital Conservation Center (HMCC) and the Waseda Institute Urban and Research Studies of Waseda University, Japan (WIURS) during the period 2014-2018, the two sides have set up the typical research contents focusing on the cultural landscape and historical ecological system in the royal tombs of the Nguyen dynasty and upstream areas of Huong River as the preparation for the effective planning and management of the cultural landscape of the Complex of Hue Monuments, and also for the re-nomination of the Complex of Hue Monuments as the World’s Cultural landscape as suggested by UNESCO. The research collaboration program is rigorously and scientifically conducted on the basis of field surveys, documentary research, and knowledge and experience exchange.
