The exhibition "Some documents about Vietnamese doctors under feudal dynasties"
Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution (19/8/1945 - 19/8/2015) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (2/9/1945 - 2/9/2015) and in response to the "Golden Week for tourism at Hue heritage sites” (3rd phase in 2015), the exhibition on "Some documents about Vietnamese doctors under feudal dynasties” is organized by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center and the Center of Science and Culture Activities Temple of Literature - National University.

 

The exhibition "Some documents about Vietnamese doctors under feudal dynasties"

- Opening time: 8.00 AM of August 29, 2015 (the exhibition is estimated to be from August 29 till the end of October 2015).

- Location: The Truong Lang-Long Covered Corridor of Hue Forbidden Purple City (near Thai Binh Pavilion).

Through documentary photos of doctoral certifications or royal edicts that  promoted the doctors who successfully passed the Three-Round exam (Tam  truong)  and Four-Round exam (Tu truong) and entitled their families, and some other documents related to doctors and literated families in Vietnam, the exhibition introduces to the public the special appreciation and respect toward the examination and education in the monarchical time. It also aims at encouraging the youth to continue their forefathers’ tradition in keeping their love of learning, doing practice and making strive to put the country "on a par with the developed countries of the five continents" as advised by Uncle Ho on the first day of school of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam 70 years ago (1945).
